Supporting the “NOW”

At Blackstone, we are deeply committed to supporting both serving and retired SOF professionals through our General Assistance program. This program is at the heart of our mission to support the NOW, providing immediate and essential aid to those in need. Over the years, we have successfully raised over $60,000 from within our membership. These funds play a crucial role in offering immediate response support during times of crisis, injury, and significant life events.

Our emergency assistance covers a wide range of situations, such as recovering from house fires, dealing with illness or injury of our members or their loved ones, and other difficult circumstances. In these tough times, Blackstone steps in to provide much-needed support not only to the members but to their families as well. Our rapid agility ensures that we can fill any gap faster than most other organizations and programs. This enables us to help our members address time-sensitive issues so the healing process can begin as quickly as possible.

Sadly, since our inception, our community has also faced the tragic loss of several members. During these sorrowful periods, we have extended our help to grieving families by providing meal gift cards and other essential resources. This support aids families in managing the funeral planning process and accommodating out-of-town relatives, a significant concern for those leading a military lifestyle.

We also offer access to a variety of resources from our community supporters. These include rebates, sponsorship for social events, and networking opportunities that provide further assistance to our members.

Our success in supporting the NOW is greatly attributed to our invaluable partnerships. Major collaborators like Kanata Ford, Millbrook, Ashton Breweries, and V-42 have played pivotal roles in our efforts. Their support has been instrumental in enabling us to continue our mission of aiding our community.
