Supporting the “NEXT”

At Blackstone, we are dedicated to not only supporting our members in the present but also ensuring their future success. Our efforts in this regard are encapsulated in our initiatives under “Supporting the NEXT.”

On the educational front, thanks to internal fundraising and the generosity of our partners, we have awarded $16,000 in bursaries since 2018. These bursaries help our members and their families pursue their educational goals, fostering both personal and professional growth. We believe that education is a critical component in preparing for the future, and we are proud to support our members in achieving their academic aspirations.

Our Transition Program is another cornerstone of our commitment to our members’ futures. This program is designed to facilitate and aid members as they transition from military service to civilian life. We assist not only by ensuring they receive all the support they are entitled to but also by developing programs that help them translate their leadership and professional military skills to the civilian sector. This comprehensive support ensures our members are well-prepared for new career opportunities.

In addition to these programs, we provide support through the facilitation of networking events with peers and business leaders. These events are crucial for helping our members access a broad network of individuals in various industries, opening doors to new career paths and professional relationships.

Finally, we actively advertise and maintain a database of job opportunities related to our community. This ensures that our members are provided every opportunity possible to seamlessly transition to the civilian sector after their service to Canada as SOF professionals has concluded.
