OUR MISSION
The Blackstone Association stands as a steadfast supporter of both serving and retired members of Canada’s Professional Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. We fill crucial gaps with targeted financial support, vital resources, transition assistance, and opportunities for peer connection and fellowship no other organizations can.
As a not-for-profit corporation we are extremely adaptable in how we support our community. Life does not always fall within nicely worded policies and we have built ourselves to be agile, flexible and responsive to the needs of our community.
One of the main reasons Blackstone exists is to help members of our community and their loved ones when they need it most. When Blackstone became aware of a severe illness affecting my 18-year-old daughter the team assembled the community to support her. Thanks to their support my daughter was able to undergo life-changing surgery in the US. Her life has been forever changed, and she, my entire family and I are grateful for Blackstone’s support.
When my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Blackstone stepped in immediately and provided invaluable support to us. Their unwavering presence throughout this challenging journey was a tremendous comfort to my wife, our family, and myself. We are deeply grateful for their support during this difficult time.
